The Vicar of Dibley is a British sitcom which originally ran on BBC One from 10 November 1994 to 1 January 2007. It is set in a fictional small Oxfordshire village called Dibley, which is assigned a female vicar following the 1992 changes in the Church of England that permitted the ordination of women. Dawn French plays the lead role, a vicar named Geraldine Granger.

Mrs. Brown’s Boys is an Irish television sitcom created by and starring Brendan O’Carroll and produced in the United Kingdom by BBC Scotland in partnership with BOC-PIX and Irish broadcaster RTÉ.
The series stars O’Carroll as Agnes Brown, with several close friends and family members making up the rest of the cast. The show adopts an informal production style often breaking the fourth wall, where production mistakes and tomfoolery, mostly instigated by O’Carroll, are edited into each episode. Despite being lambasted by critics and unfavorable comparisons to Father Ted, the show became a ratings success in both Ireland, where it is set, and the United Kingdom, where it is recorded. It also received high ratings in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The show has won numerous industry awards.

The first season introduces two major groups of characters: the Baltimore Police Department and a drug dealing organization run by the Barksdale family. The season follows the police investigation of the latter over its 13 episodes.
The investigation is triggered when, following the acquittal of D’Angelo Barksdale for murder after a key witness changes her story, Detective Jimmy McNulty meets privately with Judge Daniel Phelan. McNulty tells Phelan that the witness has probably been intimidated by members of a drug trafficking empire run by D’Angelo’s uncle, Avon Barksdale, having recognized several faces at the trial, most notably Avon’s second-in-command, Stringer Bell. He also tells Phelan that no one is investigating Barksdale’s criminal activity, which includes a significant portion of the city’s drug trade and several unsolved homicides.

Gimme Gimme Gimme centres on loudmouthed Londoner Linda La Hughes (played by comedian and director Kathy Burke) and her gay flatmate, actor Tom Farrell (played by James Dreyfus). A modern twist on the traditional odd couple format, much of Gimme Gimme Gimme’s humour springs from its lubricious innuendo subplot, which comes from the mouths of both Tom and Linda.
Linda is characterised by her red perm, white glasses, and plump, lycra-clad figure. Boorish, unattractive Linda is convinced she is a stunner; in series three she is finally diagnosed with reversed body dysmorphic disorder. It is suggested that Linda and Tom first met at a nightclub, bonded instantly (due to both being on ecstasy), and decided to live together. What follows is, as writer Jonathan Harvey describes, one long comedown. Linda often tells humorous anecdotes about her family and childhood which suggest abuse or neglect (such as how she apparently slept on a doormat as a baby, lived in a kennel as a child, and was left in a car-boot for the two weeks her aunt went on holiday), but she always thinks of these as positive experiences. She also claims that her Daddy now lives in an iron lung, although the only proof she has is a photo of a sideboard. Linda also lived in a convent and was sent to a borstal as a teenager. She has crushes on Liam Gallagher (in whom she lost interest after series one as she couldn’t bring up another bird’s child), Robbie Williams, and both male members of Hear’Say. She also imagines having sex with Dale Winton in a toilet cubicle.
